of Provence (Nyons & Avignon)
features cooking classes with author/teacher
Lydie Marshall in the kitchen of her chateau home in Haute Provence.
Cook typical dishes, then enjoy lunch around Lydie's table. Delight
in the colorful panorama of Provencal cuisine in charming Nyons,
renowned for its olives and lavender, cheeses and wines, superbly
fresh herbs and vegetables. Enjoy markets, Michelin-star dining
and two days at a marvelous 4-star hotel in historic Avignon. |

and Dining in Champagne and Alsace
Visits, tastings, and lunches at the grand Champagne
houses Taittinger, Pommery and Pol Roger in Reims and Epernay.
Drive through the lovely vineyard countryside to Michelin-star
dining. Then on to bustling Colmar, wine capital of Alsace,
with its picturesque canals and half-timbered 16th century
homes. Alsatian cooking class, the pretty villages of Riquewihr
and Ribeauville and a sumptuous lunch at the famous Auberge
de l'Ill.

Cooking and Cuisine
France's glittering 2nd city, where the
Paul Bocuse Institute has designed a special program for
our cooking enthusiasts who want to learn the traditions
and techniques of the French kitchen. Both hands-on and
demonstration classes led by professional teaching chefs
(in English, of course!). Fine dining adventures in the
birthplace of French gastronomy. Wine tasting seminars,
vineyard visits, and lodging in an historic hotel right
on the central Place Bellecour.

Vineyard and negociant tastings of the classic Chardonnays
and Pinot Noirs from Puligny Montrachet to Nuit St. George;
enjoy the charming villages and wines of Beaujolais and Macon
as well. A tasting day with famous author Clive Coates, M.W.
The pleasures of Burgundian cuisine at three Michelin-star
restaurants. Historic sites and famous vineyard villages as
we travel and explore a picturesque countryside that has no
peer in all of France. Based in Beaune.
